The central black marker is flanked on either side by beautiful marble stones engraved with approximately 2000 names of Itasca area veterans beginning with the Civil War and continuing into recent Peace Time.

Front of center panel of black marker: Three Stars Eagle with arrows in right talon and olive leaves in left talon. Itasca Veterans Memorial E Pluribus Unum One Nation under God Front of short black panels: Emblem for Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Army, Air Force, Marines Back of center panel of black marker: To honor those who gave their lives in the service of our country (List of Names with branch of service and war) Back of short black panels: Left panel has a relief art of an honor guard firing Right panel has a relief art of three jets The grey panels have the names of Wars followed by lists of names on both sides. Description of Memorial:
In downtown Itasca along Hill Street is a small green space with the central black marker flanked by the eight grey markers. Behind the black marker is three flagpoles with the United States flag in the middle flanked by the Texas flag on the left and the POW/MIA flag on the right.
