In Milton, within the Milton Cemetery, is this obelisk for the Beals family.
Milton Cemetery is located off Centre Street. The side (west) entrance (open at the time of visit) is located 100 ft east of the intersection of Centre Street and Randolph Avenue.
The obelisk is located east of Willow Avenue, in a large green area, under a small clump of trees.
The obelisk is a grey granite object, about 14 ft high. The base has a smaller square base on a larger square base, then the section above tapers slightly to a platform and a half globe is at the top. The name, Beals, is on the base on one side.
I could not find anything else about the family - the name wasn't listed on findagrave.com.
