While the upper faces of the grey granite base of the Column enumerate the 29 Ensay 'locals' that died in the 'GREAT WAR" [1914-1918], there is a beveled rectangular grey granite lower face to the base, with gilded lettering on it, for the FOUR locals that died in World War Two.

It reads:

"World War 1939 - 1945"
Costello K.P.	28 Age
Kerr P.C.	22
Lanteri J.	21
McCartin P.L.	29

The WW2 part of the Monument faces the Great Alpine Road, with the rest of the Cenotaph (and Memorial Hall) around behind it.
