This plaque is located in the Flag Hall at the Space Camp Hall of Fame, on the way to the Mars dining hall. It recognizes Dottie Metcalf-Lindenberger as the first graduate of Space Camp to go to outer space.

Former classroom educator and selected as a
NASA astronaut in 2004
Launched April 5, 2010 on the Space Shuttle Discovery - STS 131 - to the International Space Station
After spending 15 days in space, Dottie and the STS-131 crew returned to earth on April 20, 2010
Participated in the underwater NEEMO Mission 16 (NASA Extreme Environment Mission Operations) in June 2012 to investigate the techniques and tools that may be used for a near Earth asteroid mission"
