From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally NW on US20 for 5.4 miles to the intersection with Green Ridge Road. Turn right, then bear right onto Indian Ford Road, FR1102. Continue 4.0 miles and turn left onto FR2050. Proceed about 3.3 miles, then turn right and continue about 2.6 miles on FR2050 to the quarter corner on the left.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" aluminum cap on aluminum pipe; rising 12" in a mound of stones
What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?: The quarter corner bears N, about 1270' from the centerline of FR2050. There is a tall wood lath stake beside the corner and a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign mounted on a U-post, which bears W, 13'1" distant. Found two ponderosa pines with the usual complement of metal signs.
In addition, there is a chiseled X on a boulder in the NW quadrant. The bearing object, to the X, is 12'7" distant [tape measurement].
What property is this mark defining?: Deschutes National Forest land all around
