From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally NW on US20 for 5.4 miles to the intersection with Green Ridge Road. Turn right, then bear right onto Indian Ford Road, FR1102. Continue 4.0 miles and turn left onto FR2050. Proceed about 3.3 miles, then continue on FR2055 about 1.4 miles to the corner on the right.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" aluminum cap on aluminum pipe; rising 8" in a mound of stones
What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The quarter corner bears E, about 1600' from the centerline of FR2055. There is a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign mounted on a U-post which bears W, 35" distant. Found two ponderosa pines with partly healed blazes, yellow BEARING TREE tags and LAND SURVEY MONUMENT signs on the backsides. There is a LOCATION POSTER on the tree in the NW quadrant. Also found, in the NE quadrant, a boulder with a chiseled X BO.
