This is a free-standing monument, a tall, tapering, square obelisk on a tall square base with pediments on top of each side carrying swatches of olive branches. This is set on a chamfered stone base and two-step plinth. Inset into the four panels of the base are pink granite panels which carry the dedications and the names of the fallen of the Great War. Infront of each side are smaller panels of pink granite carrying the names of the fallen from WWII, these latter set back at an angle. All the lettering is of lead set into the granite.
The monument is the centre piece of a small garden on the green, an island with roads on all sides, surrounded by small four-sided columns linked by chain, there is a planting of thyme round the whole garden which has paved access to the memorial from the footpath at the roadside.
On the west, facing the road and church, the dedication reads:-
