Drive westbound on US40 from Albuquerque to exit 149 and continue generally N on Atrisco Vista Boulevard for 4.7miles. Turn right and continue E for about 0.3 miles to the Petroglyph National Monument / Volcanoes day use area. From the NW corner of the main parking area follow a wire fence line N about 1.0 miles to the expected location of corner T11N R1E S25 36 R2E S30 31 COR and the reference monument on the right.
Type of survey mark: 3-1/4" brass cap on stainless steel pipe; rising 9" in a collar of stones

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The present reference monument, stamped RM 1 T11N R2E S31, bears ESE about 60' distant from the expected location of the true corner. A white witness post [Rhino 1-Rail], used for target practice, bears E about 12" distant.


What property is this mark defining?:
Petroglyph National Monument land E of the true corner location; else unknown ownership
