Direkt an der Seepromenade beim Landungsplatz befindet sich die Städtische Galerie in einem ehemaligen Ballsaal des 19. Jahrhunderts. Die an den Saal grenzenden Kabinetträume sind Teil eines spätmittelalterlichen Patrizierhauses.
Die klimatisierten Räumlichkeiten machen den Besuch im „Faulen Pelz“, wie die Galerie im Volksmund heißt, auch an heißen Tagen zu einem angenehmen Erlebnis.
In der Städtischen Galerie zeigen die Stadt Überlingen und renommierte regionale Kulturveranstalter jährlich mindestens drei Wechselausstellungen aus allen Gattungen der historischen und aktuellen Kunst. Herausragend sind die Sommerausstellungen des Städtischen Kulturamts, die regelmäßig nationale und internationale Beachtung finden.

Directly on the lake promenade at the landing stage is the municipal gallery in a former ballroom of the 19th century. The rooms adjoining the hall are part of a late medieval patrician house.
The air-conditioned rooms make the visit to the "Faulen Pelz", as the gallery in the Volksmund is called, on hot days to a pleasant experience.
In the Städtische Galerie, the city of Überlingen and renowned regional cultural organizers show annually at least three exchange exhibitions from all genres of historical and contemporary art. Outstanding are the summer exhibitions of the Municipal Cultural Office, which regularly receive national and international attention.
