"Geronimo" was the pride of the George West Ranch, with horns nearly 10 feet across, when he died in 1927. He's been stuffed and on display on the courthouse lawn ever since.

There is a brick enclosure with large windows and a metal roof. Inside is the stuffed longhorn. It has lights at night.

This is a steer, not a bull. He was a "lead" steer and was used on cattle drives to keep the herd moving in the right direction.
