This memorial stands on the grounds of the Polk County Courthouse.

This is a granite monument in the shape of the State of Arkansas. It stands in a memorial area at the corner of Mena Street and Church Avenue. The inscription reads:
"This monument placed in grateful tribute to the men and women who shared their lives and showed undying courage for their country / For those who returned and for those who did not / May God grant you everlasting peace."
At the bottom of the monument are the words: "Replaced and rededicated Memorial Day May 25, 2015"
And, on the base beneath the memorial, the original dedication: "Dedicated to the veterans of Polk County by the Mena Emblem Club #470 / November 6, 1977"
