Adams Building is located on Stoney Street, in the Lace Market district of Nottingham.
The building, which was formerly a lace showroom and warehouse, was designed one of the country’s leading architects, Nottingham-born Thomas Chambers Hine. It was built in 1855 and modelled on a grand country house in the Anglo-Italian style.
It is Grade II* listed and is now part of the City campus of New College Nottingham (it is not open to the public). (

There is a green plaque placed at the entrance to the Adams Building,
to commemorated the achievements of Thomas Adams.
Thomas Adams was born at Worksop, Nottinghamshire on 5 February 1807 and was a lace manufacturer and philanthropist based in Nottingham.
The plaque placed by Nottingham City Council is inscribed as follows;
