The Cock & Hoop (formerly County Tavern) is a three roomed pub that re-opened in Autumn 2015, after a 2 year closure.
The Cock & Hoop pub has a hanging pub sign. It is a modern simplistic design that with a black back ground that depicts a golden cockerel inside a golden circle. Cock and Hoop is written in white lettering beneath this underlined in gold with Lace Market Hotel at the bottom.

It was once a public house with rooms available for an audience to watch the hangings on the steps of the Galleries of Justice opposite.
"The small bar room that has a warming gas fire leads to a short corridor with side nook and a larger downstairs restaurant. A further room to the right leads to an outside, covered, non-smoking courtyard with seating.
