The burls turned to wombats carving is located between the boulder with the plaque about Mosaic Path and the large painted map and sign for East Gippsland, on the Nicholson Street side of Forest Park, just a little downhill from the Slab Hut Information Centre.
The burls had almost approximated the natural shapes of the wombats that were worked out from them. They are set on a small concrete pad; and just a little downhill from the Pumpkin Patch wood carving.
