Matthew Milton Hubbard, 13, Bonanza, died Aug 24, 1998, at MWMC in Klamath Falls after he was rescued from drowning in Medicine Lake.
He was born to Michael and Elizabeth (Rodgers) Hubbard at MWMC in Klamath Falls.
He was a straight "A" student and active in 4-H, basketball and baseball.
For the last three years, he made the "All Star" baseball team.
Since the age of 5, Matthew played the violin. He was also involved in sheep dog training meets and often beat his adult competitors.
Among his interests were gardening, playing pingpong, horseback riding, and canoeing on the Lost River.
Survivors include his parents, Michael and Elizabeth Hubbard of Bonanza; sister, Emma Hubbard of Bonanza; great-grandfather, Mac Bryan of Klamath Falls; grandparents, Jim Rodgers of Beatty, Jim and Marge Hubbard of Bonanza, and Clyde and Claudette Gauger of Riddle, uncles, aunts, and 14 cousins.
