Brothers Alex and Will Griffen are listed as the builders.

In 1933 the bank changed its name to Brenham National Bank. In 1949 the bank moved across the square into the building which housed the Day Cotton Company and the Double Dip Ice Cream Co. That location was renovated and expanded many times to meet the growing needs of the bank.

Since that time there have been many occupants of this building. The last occupant was PlanNorth Architectural Co. It is not known when they relocated, but the building is currently vacant.
