The clocks adorn the Washington County Courthouse. Constructed by the Works Progress Administration the Art Deco Courthouse sports a smooth limestone veneer. This building continues to be used as a courthouse.

Centered above each entry, there are stylized clocks with only black hash marks attached directly to the limestone wall to mark the hours. The clock hands are black. The different clocks did not agree on the correct time
