The Jet Nest by Icelandic artist Magnús Tómasson is a huge stainless steel egg where a jet wing is peeking out like a little bird breaking out of it's egg. The egg sits on a rock shrub rising from a pond on the landing ground. The egg is about 5.6 meters tall and 4.2 meters wide and weighs six tonnes. The rock is about 14 meters in diameter and the pond is about 1,800 square meters. The artwork is all about 9 meters in height. The final cost of the work is not revealed, but it would amount to less than the 30 million ISK allocated to the project.
