In the Czech Republic, there are still several open-air velodromes, where races are still held. These are velodromes in Prague, Brno, Plzen and Prostejov. In addition, there is a velo in Louny, but the concrete oval is in poor condition and so races are held at the county level.
At present, track cycling has mostly moved under roofs to covered wooden oval, which are faster for driving than outdoor, concrete velodromes. One such velodrome is in Prague-Motol
