As described by the CGS back in 1964:

"ALONG STEWART ROAD [...] 59 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE ROAD, 42 1/2 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF A PRIVATE DRIVEWAY LEADING NORTHWEST TO A HOUSE, 5 FEET SOUTHWEST OF A POWER POLE, 2 FEET SOUTHEAST OF A FENCE, 1.8 FEET NORTHEAST OF A WOODEN WITNESS POST, ABOUT LEVEL WITH THE ROAD, A DISK ON THE TOP OF A 5/8-INCH COPPER COATED ROD THAT IS DRIVEN TO A DEPTH OF 48 FEET AND IS ENCASED IN A 6-INCH IRON PIPE THAT PROJECTS 4 INCHES."

The CGS description is still reasonably accurate and should definitely assist future seekers in finding this benchmark, but a few corrections might be in order:
(1) This particular road is no longer called "Stewart Rd"; it is now "San Luis Pass Rd" or alternatively "FM-3005".
(2) The old utility pole which was 5 ft away has been removed, replaced with a newer pole about 12-15ft Northwest of the mark.
(3) The wooden witness post is actually a carsonite (fiberglass) witness post.
That said, it should be easy to recover: it is basically to the East of a farm gate and inside a protective iron pipe about 6 inches in diameter (and protuding 4 inches).

The station was recovered in very good condition. Likewise, the NGS' currently posted coordinates (N 29° 09.703 W 095° 00.487) are reasonably in line with my observations, as measured within 10' accuracy and 10+ reading averages. (FYI: the coordinates on www.geocaching.com are off, but that's irrelevant at this point since the NGS database has accurate readings by now).

Below are some additional facts, per the NGS database (with some editing for length): (visit link)
