A charming rural cemetery near an interesting US tri-point for TN-GA-AL has been a peaceful place for eternal rest for local folks since the early 1800s.
This cemetery is not the easiest to find, what with all the curvy mountain roads and Lake Nickajack close by. Fortunately, there is a sign at the turn off onto Macedonia Baptist Church Road from the TN state highway 156 that thoughtfully includes an arrow for State Line Cemetery.
Many of the graves here are marked with chunks of local stone only, so it's hard to determine exactly how many folks are buried here. The site has been used as a cemetery for 200 years, so Blasterz are sure there are more graves here than meet the eye.
The day Blasterz were there, we estimated there were about 250 marked graves, maybe a few more.
