Das Kaiser-Wilhelm-Denkmal steht auf dem Martin-Luther-Platz zwischen der Johanneskirche und dem Justizministerium. Es zeigt den Kaiser als Feldherren auf einem Pferd reitend, flankiert von den beiden Engeln des Friedens und des Kriegs. Die drei bronzenen Statuen stehen auf einem Granitsockel, der ebenfalls mit bronzenen Tafeln dekoriert ist.

Geschaffen wurde das Kunstwerk 1896 vom Düsseldorfer Kunstakademie-Professor Karl Janssen. Es wurde damals in der Alleestraße, der heutigen Heinrich-Heine-Allee, aufgestellt und erst später hierhin auf den Martin-Luther-Platz verlegt.

Zu beiden Seiten des Kaiser-Wilhelm-Denkmals befinden bzw. befanden sich zwei weitere historische Statuen aus der selben Zeit: Zu seiner Linken steht das Bismarck-Denkmal, zu seiner Rechten befand sich das Moltke-Denkmal, von dem heute nur noch der Sockel erhalten ist. Die beiden galten als Kaiser Wilhelms Paladine.
The monument of Emperor Wilhelm I. is located at the plaza Martin-Luther-Platz between the church Johanneskirche and the Ministry of Justice. It shows the emperor as a general riding a horse, flanked by the two angels of peace and war. The three bronze statues stand on a granite base, which is also decorated with bronze panels.

The artwork was created in 1896 by Karl Janssen, a professor at the Düsseldorf Academy of Fine Arts. It was then set up in the Alleestraße, today's Heinrich-Heine-Allee, and only later moved here to the Martin-Luther-Platz.

On either side of the monument there are or rather have been two more historical statues from the same period: the Bismarck monument is on its left, the Moltke monument has been on its right, of which only the base is preserved today. The two were regarded as Emperor Wilhelm's paladins.
