The memorial is a bronze plaque affixed to a Tennessee gray granite monument, and reads as follows:

Significant articles of remembrance were brought to the site by family and friends during ceremonies May 8-10, 1992, honoring those fallen or missing in Vietnam, so that we may never forget, those remembrances have been entombed on this site is a lasting reminder of the heroic contributions to freedom made by so many.
