"Two-story, front gable house with cross gables on the north and south elevations and a rock
faced ashlar foundation. The façade is dominated by a two-story porch with enclosed
sleeping porch or sunroom on the second story. Though vernacular, the house design was influenced by the Late Victorian as seen in its complex roofline and the first story bay window
on the south elevation. A modern detached garage is located behind the house." NRHP Nomination Form
"This house was originally bui1t for a member of the Jameson family; it
was given to Anna Jamson Tait (after she was divorced from her husban) and was made into
apartments by her brother. She left the house to the current owner Pat Jameson, John
Jameson's wife. Anna Tait was at one time the chairman of the Board of William Woods
College. She died about five years ago.
