There's the steeple of the "Ulmer Münster", built between 1377-1890 and the church with the tallest steeple in the world - located in the center of Ulm, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
Der Kirchturm
With a height of 161.53 m the steeple of the minster is the tallest steeple in the world. The choir of the minster is flanked on the right and left by the two steeples with a height of 86 m and so they belong to the group of particularly high towers. Interesting are the building materials: all edges of the church ship and almost all parts of the steeple are made of sandstone (in neo-gothic parts partly also limestone).
In 1543 the almost finished building came into construction standstill. The main steeple at this time had a height of about 100 m, the church towers were each about 32 m high. With the arrival of a new prosperity in Ulm the minster could continue to build. 1885 was begun the completion of the main and west steeple and with the placement of a crucifixion it was completed on May 31, 1890, and the minster had retained its present appearance.
