Along North Seventh Avenue in Bozeman, the Royal "7" Motel has occupied this space for quite some time.

In front of the Royal "7" Motel is this Googie neon sign, likely a remnant of the '60s (or thereabouts). The motel now refers to itself variously as the Royal 7 Inn or the Royal 7 Budget Inn or the Royal 7 Budget Inn Motel. They must really like their sign though, as, although the name has changed somewhat, the sign remains as it was 60 years ago. All the neon appears to still be in place, though we couldn't tell how well it works as we never went by the motel at night.
The frame of the sign is actually shaped like a stubby number "7", above which is the number "7" inside a shield (denoting the "Royal" in the name), both inside a neon starburst. We always get a kick out of the anachronism found on Googie motel signs, as they almost invariably advertise "Free Internet".
