The safest view point is from the NCC bike path south of the bridge. The abandoned tracks which go under the bridge are still in place, if you wish to wander north for a closer look. From the posted site, the
Prince of Wales Bridge is visible to the south. Waymarkers can also access the Hull Electric Railway bridge along the abandoned rails south from boulevard Alexandre-Taché.
In 1897, the Hull Electric Railway built a bridge across the Lachute sub-division of the Canadian Pacific Railway (CP). The bridge is located north of milepost 119 (still in situ) of the Lachute sub.
The bridge has not seen street car traffic since the 1940s though the E B Eddy plant may have used the bridge in later years. Both ends of the bridge have been fenced off for years. As I attempted photography at the bridge level for this waymark, construction was taking place immediately east of the bridge.
