The Johannes Chapel was built in 1515. An enclosed choir was built and implies this was originally used as a church, but after many years, it was no longer used as such. 2015, the 500th anniversary, saw renovations to refresh the chapel. The attached graveyard has a number of older graves maintained by the village. In Germany, modern graves are generally rented for 20-year terms and later cleared out for new funerals. That this graveyard still has a fair number of older graves is unusual.
