In a 'horse-shoe' of concrete pavers, is an orange stela with a bronze plaque, for all "Those Who Fell in Battle".

This plaque is just a short distance east of the War Memorial Clock Tower, and is much more suited for the ANZAC and other Memorial gatherings.
The plaque reads:
"In memory of those who Fell in Battle in all Wars and Peacekeeping Operations involving Australian and Allied Forces and those who have died as a result of their Service.
Lest We Forget"
[Three crests at the top, for the branches of Service; with two at the bottom, the left one being the Returned Services League Australia crest, and the right one being Australian Peacekeepers Peacemakers Association crest.]
There is also a small plaque laid in the stone work of the horseshoe shaped assembly area, which reads:
"Memorial Garden
Inspired by Wanda Battel's Walk on the Kokoda Trail in 2007
Made possible by sponsorships and funding from the Community & E.G.S.C."
