FATAL DIVE
BODY IMPRISONED IN CREVICE
Sydney, February 17.
Mr. James Smith (25), of Lithgow was drowned yesterday. With two companions he was swimming in the Fish River, near Tarana, and when he dived his body was imprisoned in a crevice of rock. His companions began to dive for the body, and they were assisted by a constable, who eventually located him, with his head jammed between rocks.
Mr. Smith came from Scotland, and is survived by a young daughter. His wife died a few years ago.
