"La dernière guerre mondiale a apporté son lot de victimes et d’actes de bravoure, notamment à la Sicaudais où est érigé un monument commémorant la poche sud, inauguré le 30 juin 1946. Le 21 décembre 1944, une fusillade éclata entre les soldats allemands et les F.F.I. à la Sicaudais. Le 26 décembre 1944, la gare de la Sicaudais fut bombardée par les Alliés causant une quinzaine de morts."

"The last world war brought its share of victims and acts of bravery, notably to the Sicaudais where a monument commemorating the south pocket was inaugurated on June 30, 1946. On December 21, 1944, a gunfire broke out between the German soldiers and the FFI to the Sicaudais. On December 26, 1944, the station of the Sicaudais was bombed by the Allies causing fifteen dead.
