At the turn-off to Grassy Head, on the Scotts Head Road, is a sign to make you wonder if someone had been 'drinking too much' when they were driving home.

While I have occasionally seen a koala on various roads, and I bought my current car [Nissan Dualis] because I had a THIRD run-in with a kangaroo in 2014 [in a Mazda Metro], I am positive that you WON'T see an elephant, especially a BLUE one on the MidNorth Coast of NSW.

This is similar, but different to a sign as you are leaving Scotts Head. [And I am not sure what is so 'dangerous' about a koala in a tree; it doesn't look like a 'Drop Bear'.] You have just over 'a mile' - 1.8 km to be VERY CAUTIOUS in your driving - especially if you have been drinking!

Access: head towards Scotts Head from Pacific Highway, and just past the Grassy Head Road turn-off you will see this sign. Plenty of parking on the southern side of the road, but a bit scarce on the northern side (for the direction you are headed.)
