The former school when travelling from the east along the Jurby Road can be found on the right-hand side of the road next to St. Jude Chapelry, also known as St Jude's Church.
The building is built like the Church from the local Manx Slate stone. The roof however is of imported Welsh Slate as the local slate was of very inferior quality. The building also features an impressive East Bell Gable.
Interestingly although this former school is now a private residence the bell-gable still has a bell in situ and a bell rope can clearly be seen from the Churchyard, although it is wrapped around the modern TV aerial.
The adjacent Church was built to a design by John Welch in 1839 and consecrated in 1841.
