A sundial on Park Walk, Shaftesbury, with spectacular views over the Dorset countryside.
Horizontal mounted dial on stone pilar. It has the ordinal points of the compass with the hours (4am - 8pm) around the edge. Inscribed with the motto:'Let others tell of storms and showers: I'll only count your sunny hours'.
The dial was placed in 2002 to commemorate the Queen's Golden jubilee. The plaque reads:
