The winding Coramba Road goes over Coopernook Creek on a wooden Plank Bridge.
(No, not the village on the MidNorth Coast of NSW just 'north' Taree)
This is a 'single-lane' bridge, of a single continuous span, using hardwood logs as beams (x 4) resting on wooden piles, and then heavy-duty beams bolted onto the logs, with the longitudinal deck boards bolted to the cross-beams. Reasonably sturdy hardwood 6 inch square timbers are used on the sides to hold two sets of boards as a simple guard rail along the sides of the bridge.
The wooden piles used to support the beams are also used to hold a wooden retaining wall on each end of the bridge for the abutments.
Both approaches to the bridge are of gravel and dirt.
