SHOCKING RAILWAY ACCIDENT

Ex-Bathurstian's Terrible End
LITHGOW. Wednesday

In a shocking fatality in the local railway yards early yesterday afternoon, Allan Bailey, 31, married, a shunter and formerly a well known and well liked Bathurst railway man was the victim. Not observing nor hearing the approach of an engine from behind he was knocked down and a wheel of the engine tender passed over his neck decapitating the head.
