This single span, single-lane wooden bridge crosses Wall Creek on the dirt Yalmy Road, just as you enter the Orbost State Forest, 'north of' Orbost in the east Gippsland region of Victoria.

With a large logging industry of the area, it is not too surprising that this almost completely locally sourced.
I had 'gone bush', north of Orbost with the purpose of finding a specific Geodash, that was only obtainable for May, 2016 [GDDB-YNIZ, Orbost] when I came across this good example of a Timber Plank Bridge about 5 km north of Orbost.
Long hardwood trunks are used for the stringers, and sawn hardwood slabs are used laterally, with two sets of six longitudinal planks used to strengthen the bridge for the frequent use by logging trucks.
The road is generally quiet enough to be able to park close to the bridge, but caution is required if logging is in progress.
