Wallerawang relies on a power station & coal mines for the majority of work in the area. The town is expanding & the old fire station was demolished & replaced with this modern one in 2015. The fire station has a meeting room & showers as well as 2 Isuzu fire trucks.
The siren was restored & placed on the station but is not in use.
