In Peoria, near the intersection of W. Lake Street and N. University Ave., is Lakeview Park.
The entrance to Lakeview Park is off W. Lake Street and is east of University Ave. The road is a large 'U' with drives and parking lots coming off the main drive.
The park has many facilities - some not usually associated with a park. There is the Owens Center, which is an ice rink; the Lakeview Family Aquatic Center; and a play area. However, there is also the Peoria Players Theatre, the Lakeview Branch of the Peoria Public Library; and the Girl Scouts of Central Illinois. Also is the Noble Center, which is the Peoria Park District headquarters.
