Ondratice - naležište kultury bohunicien ( Mladý paleolit )
Mladý paleolit se zacíná rozvíjet v pocínajícím interpleniglaciálu poslední doby ledové, kdy zbývající domorodé populace stredopaleolitických neandertálcu, oslabené predchozím chladným obdobím, jsou vytlacovány lidmi moderní anatomické stavby, zcela už podobnými až shodnými s clovekem dnešním . S nimi je spojen rozvoj cepelové techniky a jí odpovídajících jemnejších typu nástroju. Ve starší fázi tohoto období se vyvíjí množství kultur. Cást z nich, tzv. prechodné kultury, nesou ješte prvky stredního paleolitu, cást už progresivní prvky mladého paleolitu, patri k nim kultura chatelperronien, szeletien a bohunicien (lokality Stránská skála nebo Ondratice). Plne mladopaleolitické kultury byly: uluzzien, jerzmanowicien, aurignacien s reprezentativními malbami ve španelských a francouzských jeskyních. Dominantní zpusob úpravy kamenné industrie je tzv. cepelová technika.
Od roku 2001 vlastní OÚ budovu prodejny potravin, která nese název "LUNA" a je velmi dobre zásobena. Zároven zajištuje i prodejní cinnost. Každý rok se obec stará o provoz na místním koupališti, které je velmi hojne navštevováno i z okolních obcí. Do naší obce dojíždí chalupári, kterí zde mají zakoupených cca ctyricet chalup. Hlavním úkolem OÚ dnes je vybudování hloubkové kanalizace v obci.

Ondratice - the place of culture of the Bohunicien (Young Paleolithic)
The young Palaeolithic begins to develop in the beginning of the interplaniglia of the last ice age, when the remaining indigenous populations of middle-Paleolithic neanderthals, weakened by the previous cold period, are being pushed out by people of modern anatomical structures, totally similar to those of today's humans. The development of blade technology and the corresponding finer types of tools are associated with them. In the older phase of this period a number of cultures are developing. Part of them, so-called transitional cultures, still bear elements of the Middle Palaeolithic, part of the progressive elements of the young Palaeolithic, belonging to the chatelperronien, szeletien and bohunicien culture (Stránská skála or Ondratice). Fully youthpaleolitic cultures were: uluzzien, jerzmanowicien, aurignacien with representative paintings in Spanish and French caves. The dominant way of modifying the stone industry is so-called blade technology.
Since 2001, the OU owns a grocery store called "Luna" and is well stocked. It also provides sales activities. Every year, the village takes care of the local swimming pool, which is also very popular with neighboring municipalities. To our village commutes cottages, who have bought about forty cottages here. The main task of the Regional Authority today is the construction of deep sewerage in the village.

The municipal office building is two-storeyed with a rustic façade. It stands on the village square. A local pub is part of the building.
