In Peoria, within Lakeview Park, is the Lakeview Branch of the Peoria Public Library system, which has a sculpture of two owls reading a book.

The library is located near the Noble Center, which is the administrative building for the Peoria park system. The entrance is from W. Lake Street and is near the intersection with N. University Avenue.

The library is in a modern squarish building with likely concrete scored like brick. The entrance is from the east side. There is a 3D sculpture of two owls and a book, and the words, "Peoria Public Library." The figures are made of iron or steel. They are made of shapes of cut steel layered on each other.

The sculptor mark is on the branch, and says (I believe), "Kraitz." I could not find anything else about this sculpture.

The condition is good. There is rust on most of the surfaces.
