From Monuments Australia: Bruthen War Memorial
"Bruthen War Memorial is a tall multi-tiered bluestone memorial topped by a column and lamp globe. The inscriptions on marble tablets on all sides commemorate those who served and who died in World Wars One [and Two]."

A white marble plaque on the base reads:

"Erected By The Residents
Of Bruthen And District
To The Honor Of The Living
And The Everlasting Glory
Of The Dead Who Fought In The
1914 Great War 1919
[To which has subsequently been added]
1939 - World War II – 1945.

On the base of the Memorial are three rectangular white marble plaques for those who Died in "The Great War", and they respectively read:

A rather 'flat' brass plaque has engraved on it, the following:

On the grassy median strip beside Main Street (aka Great Alpine Road). It is tall, multi-layered of grey bluestone, with a lamp on top. Multiple white marble plaques are placed on it with a couple of bronze plaques.
