The trail is eight miles long, but also forms part of the much longer Trans Pennine Trail which connects the east coast with the west coast of England.
It is a popular trail and many cyclist pass by the shop. When the trail was still a working railway line there used to be a level crossing here where the trains crossed the road.
AS well as selling cycles the shop also services and repairs them.
This is the second Devereaux Cycles shop to be opened and is the larger of two, the other being in Sale.

The shop is ideally suited for riders on the cycle path and they offer a wide variety of services including hire of travel boxes for folding cycles.
It also has a small cafe which is open during normal shop hours and provides an ideal place to stop for users of the trail.
