La facade (à l’ouest) nous révèle une église à nef centrale et 2 bas-côtés. En faisant abstraction des bas-côtés, le pignon de la nef apparaît relativement haut par rapport à sa largeur comme dans les églises du XI°. Cette facade a été restaurée au début du XX° et seules les moulures de la porte sont anciennes. Elles sont comparables à celles de la cathédrale d’Amiens exécutés vers 1270-1280. Mais la porte a été remontée et ses proportions ne sont pas celles d’une porte gothique d’origine.
Le côté nord va nous révéler des éléments architecturaux de différentes périodes. Nous trouvons à l’angle nord-ouest un contrefort en angle qui date du XV°-XVI°.Au XIII°, nous aurions eu 2 contreforts, chacun prolongeant un mur. Les deux fenêtres qui suivent (fenêtres du bas-côté) sont également du XV°-XVI°. Puis au niveau de la flèche, un escalier y donne accès, ce qui est une pratique XV°-XVI°.
Il est percé d’une jolie petite porte XVI°. Nous nous trouvons au niveau du transept qui était saillant à l’origine (au XI°-XII°) comme l’ont attestées des traces de fondations à un mètre à l’extérieur. Les bras du transept devaient faire saillie mais ils ont été raccourcis au XV°, date de la construction des murs actuels. Plus loin, à la hauteur du chœur, les deux fenêtres plus petites que les précédentes et d’aspect différent suggèrent le XI°.
A l’est, l’église se termine par un gracieux chevet à cinq pans éclairé par autant de fenêtres dites « en lancettes » (arc brisé plus aigu que le « tiers-point » qui s’inscrit dans un triangle équilatéral). Les spécialistes pensent qu’il y a eu à l’origine un chevet plat qui a été complétée au XV°-XVI° par cette abside polygonale.
Côté sud, on retrouve les mêmes éléments que sur le côté nord. Seule la grande fenêtre à hauteur du transept diffère. Très ample, de proportions XV°, elle est garnie de remplages (lignes de pierre à l’intérieur d’une baie qui séparent les vitraux) qui appartiennent certainement à la restauration du début du XX° comme les éléments de la façade.
En conclusion de ce tour à l’extérieur, nous pouvons faire une synthèse : Il y avait ici au XII° une église avec transept mais sans les bas côtés et terminée par un chevet plat. On lui a ajouté des bas-côtés par la suite, puis une abside polygonale au XVI°.

The facade (to the west) reveals a church with central nave and 2 aisles. The gable of the nave appears to be relatively high in relation to its width as in the churches of the 11th century. This facade was restored at the beginning of the XX ° and only the moldings of the door are old. They are comparable to those of the Cathedral of Amiens, executed about 1270-1280. But the door has been reassembled and its proportions are not those of an original Gothic door.
The north side will reveal architectural elements of different periods. At the north-west corner we find a buttress at an angle dating from the fifteenth to the eighteenth. At the XIII ° we had two buttresses, each extending a wall. The two windows which follow (windows of the aisle) are also of the XV ° -XVI °. Then at the level of the arrow, a staircase gives access, which is a practice XV ° -XVI °.
It is pierced with a pretty little door XVI °. We find ourselves at the level of the transept which originally protruded (in the XI ° -XII °) as attested traces of foundations to one meter to the outside. The arms of the transept were to protrude but they were shortened in the fifteenth, date of the construction of the present walls. Further on, at the height of the choir, the two smaller windows, of different appearance, suggest the XIth.
To the east, the church ends with a graceful five-sided chevet lit by so many "lancet" windows (broken arch higher than the "third-point" which is inscribed in an equilateral triangle). The specialists think that there was originally a flat chevet which was completed in the XVth-XVIth by this polygonal apse.
On the south side, we find the same elements as on the north side. Only the large window at the height of the transept differs. Very ample, of proportions XV °, it is filled with fillings (lines of stone inside a bay that separate the stained glass) which certainly belong to the restoration of the beginning of the XX ° like the elements of the facade.
In conclusion of this tour outside, we can make a synthesis: There was here in the XII ° a church with transept but without the sides and ended with a flat chevet. He was later provided with aisles, then a polygonal apse in the 16th century.
