From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally NW on US20 for 9.5 miles. Turn left onto George McAllister Road, FR2060, and continue about 3.7 miles to the intersection with FR2060-700. Turn left, and proceed about 0.8 miles to a gate and the corner on the right.
Type of survey mark: 3-1/4" brass cap on an iron pipe; rising 5" next to the original stone
What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?: The corner bears S, about 3260' from the centerline of FR2060-700. There are PROPERTY BOUNDARY and LAND SURVEY MARKER decals on an orange Carsonite post which bears N, 20" distant. Found a fir and three ponderosa pines with partly healed blazes and the usual complement of metal signs.
What property is this mark defining?: Private property NE from the corner, else Deschutes National Forest land
