The National Registry form submitted in 1983 shows this building to be a two-story garage, constructed in 1902. The roof is flat with a parapet that is stepped at the center with merlons. This presents as a three-bay area on the upper wall. This upper wall is heavily embellished by the use of dark and light-colored brick. There are three rows of light corbelled brick across the facade, with rows of light brick offering hoods to the four upper windows. This description still fits the building today.

BUT, the building has had a total make-over on the ground floor. Whereas in 1983 there was a clerestory with 13 panes of glass, today, there are 5 large wood-framed panes above the storefront. It formerly had wood doors on the right and left, but today, those are stylish metal panel doors, painted black, with arched metal transom areas, and artistic iron sconces.

The overhead garage door which once graced the center bay for this garage, has been replaced by metal-framed full length display windows. The entire storefront is black metal and rather formal looking. The building now houses Courtyard 118, a popular event center in Ardmore.

This building is Item 58 Page 34) on the nomination form.
