FR Du xiie siècle au xve siècle, l’abbaye Saint-André de Villeneuve-lès-Avignon possédait l’église paroissiale Saint-Brice, un prieuré, située sur la colline, et l’église Saint-Martin au Picarlet ; elle en percevait les revenus.

Cette chapelle se trouve sur une colline située immédiatement à l'ouest du village, et marque la limite du vaste domaine forestier de Corbières. La colline offre une large vue sur la vallée de la Durance.

De dimensions modestes, la chapelle contient une intéressante décoration peinte en parfait état, occupant le mur qui fait face à l'entrée de l'édifice. La statue placée au-dessus de l'autel est dédiée à Notre Dame de la Salette, en référence à un haut-lieu de l'Isère connu pour ses récits d'apparitions.

Aux IVème et Vème siècles, Saint Brice fut un disciple de Saint Martin, et à la mort de celui-ci lui succéda en tant qu'évèque de Tours.
EN From the twelfth century to the fifteenth century, the abbey of Saint-André of Villeneuve-lès-Avignon possessed the parish church of Saint-Brice, a priory on the hill, and the church of Saint Martin at Picarlet; it collected its revenues.

This chapel stands on a hill just west of the village and marks the boundary of the vast forest estate of Corbières. The hill offers a broad view of the Durance valley.

Of modest dimensions, the chapel contains an interesting decoration painted in perfect condition, occupying the wall that faces the entrance of the building. The statue above the altar is dedicated to Our Lady of La Salette, in reference to a high place of the Isère known for its accounts of apparitions.

In the 4th and 5th centuries, Saint Brice was a disciple of Saint Martin, and on his death succeeded him as the bishop of Tours.
