Du fait de l’étendue de son territoire, Pornic dispose également de mairies annexes dans le bourg du Clion, dans le bourg de Sainte-Marie et à la Birochère, qui contribuent à maintenir cette proximité. Sous l’autorité du maire, près de 300 agents municipaux travaillent à la Ville de Pornic et interviennent dans des domaines divers qui concernent souvent votre vie quotidienne et vos familles. C’est le conseil municipal qui règle par ses délibérations les affaires de la commune.

Pornic a fusionné en 1973 avec l'ancienne commune du Clion-sur-Mer (dont les habitants s’appellent les Clionnais), puis en 2007 avec l'ancienne commune de Sainte-Marie-sur-Mer (dont les habitants s'appellent les Sanmaritains), cette dernière commune étant devenue une commune associée de Pornic en 1973. Les habitants de la commune, qui s'appellent les Pornicais, étaient au nombre de 14 578 selon le dernier recensement de l'Insee de 2014.
Située au bord de l'océan Atlantique, la ville est connue pour son château et son vieux port. Ses principales ressources sont, au début du XXIe siècle, le tourisme et les produits de la mer. Pornic est également appréciée pour sa faïencerie, son casino, son centre de thalassothérapie, son golf 18 trous et sa fraiseraie."

The Hotel de Ville is a rectangular white building on Place de la Hotell de Ville. This corner building is 3 stöcking with small mansards in the roof area.
The first floor is provided with 7 windows, 3 of which are designed as doors. On the ground floor there are 2 entrance doors to the offices as well as another 5 windows.
Unfortunately, there is no information on the building fabric.
