"Situated on the Esplanade, The Lakes Entrance RSL owns and operates the Glenara Motel. The Glenara Motel offers discounted accommodation to members of the RSL. The Bistro seats 180 persons and offers a mix of Australian and Chinese meals." RSL website

While the building was built in possibly 1935, as a boarding house, it was only occupied by the RSL in 2002, who remodelled, and extended it. The tower on the roof the RSL was removed in May, 2017.
