This mural is part of the Mural Festival held in Beaver Dam in June 2017. The mural is painted directly on the brick facade at the rear of the Watermark Community Center.
This mural looks like an old-time post card. The black border has ornate scroll work painted at the corners.
The words "Crystal Lake Beach" in a script font in the center at the top.
The mural is painted in an unusual and very unique style:
- The foreground features four people (three ladies and a man) in very old-style clothing overlooking the beach. One woman is sitting in a beach recliner and all that is visible is her hat and profile. The second woman is featured in a black skirt and a red polka dot long-sleeved shirt and a tan hat. The third woman is adorned in colored print dress with yellow sleeveless top and a hat that matches her skirt. The man is at the far right of the mural wearing black swim trunks and a striped sleeveless top.
- The people are on a deck watching a beach scene which is painted in greens and grays giving it the feeling that the people are looking even farther into the past. The background features kids playing in the water, although their swimsuits are fairly modern (no shirts on the boys). On the shoreline, there are trees, and several people sitting at picnic benches as well as several boats docked on the shore and other nondescript items (possibly a lifeguard) as well.
